Out sourcing via the internet is easy. If you have a creative project that involves some creative design or technical coding that does not fall into your area of expertise, then outsourcing via the internet could be a really good option for you.
There are several sites out there including ‘oDesk’and ‘get a coder’where you can post an advert for a job and you will probably get a lot of highly talented people able to do the job keen to do the work for a fraction of what it would cost to employ someone to do it in house. This skips out a lot of hassle trying to find the right person as there are so many talented people in the world and the only restriction is geographic location. This goes a long way to eliminating this problem.
What’s more is that with oDesk you can actually view the work that your contractor is doing live as oDesk records screen shots of their computer every 10 mins. So there is no question that they were working for you during the hours that they said they were.
Friends of mine have completed 2 large project though the odesk system. One was a multi-level marketing database and the other a facebook app. Complete with its own content management system.
There were happy with the system but recommend a certain level of caution. Make sure you communicate your vision and ideas for the project clearly and make sure you have been understood, especially if English is not the first language of your team members. Also make sure they give you the source code of the project in a way that you can get someone else to continue with or add to and improve later on in case the original team member is not available or not contactable.
With the proper due diligence these resources can be really useful way to enhance your business.
